"A Walk on Croftville" Woven Tapestry
Croftville Road in Grand Marais meanders close to Lake Superior and has become a favorite walking spot to meet friends and catch up. The perfect length at a little over two miles, this road has held many sacred and silly conversations with dear friends, and deserved a woven tribute.
This scene is taken from a spot where the view to the lake opens up. In the foreground are long grasses and dogwood branches, and five remarkable trees. Just behind, the endless water of the Lake and the endless sky beyond. For this tapestry, I zoomed in an abstracted the movement of the grasses, dogwood, and water, with one of the tree trunks as an anchor point.
