This krokbragd tapestry was woven manually on a large frame loom. This required engaging the hands, eyes, and memory to do the work that on a floor loom, threading patterns, foot pedals, and shafts would do for you. Adding curved lines and circles further pushed the limitations of the technique, and allowed me to infuse my tapestry “voice” into this very traditional pattern.
