Emily Wick is a tapestry weaver and fiber artist living in Grand Marais, Minnesota, on Lake Superior’s North Shore. From her small studio apartment, she uses natural fibers to weave tapestries, rugs, and home goods on her many looms.

Emily’s work translates the wild landscapes and textures of northern Minnesota into the language of tapestry. She is especially interested in zooming in on beloved landscapes, plants, and surfaces–sometimes to the microscopic level–and creating tapestries from the intricate patterns and forms found in the building blocks of the natural world. 

From abstract images to life-like representations, she uses rich colors to create dynamic, one-of-a-kind woven artworks. She strives to infuse her work with the same quiet wildness found in nature on the North Shore, and to bring that sense of peace and beauty to living spaces through her art.
