“White Pine Tangential” is a colorful reinterpretation of white pine stem cells viewed under a microscope. When the artist became interested in looking at her favorite northern Minnesota plants up close, the shapes and layers of this image immediately stood out as a tapestry design.
Handwoven on the artist’s vintage upright tapestry loom, this design is a love letter to the towering white pines that grow tall and rugged in Northern Minnesota.
