I weave my tapestries on vintage looms in my studio apartment in the woods outside of Grand Marais, MN. My life is interwoven with my art: my bed is five feet away from my looms, yarn scraps intermingle with my laundry. Fairly often, I’ve given up couches and kitchen tables to make space for more looms. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Inside the studio is creative chaos, color, books, and all the tools I need to make my work. Outside is the boreal forest unfolding at my feet, where I walk and swim and ski and find inspiration without end.
